Job Summary
Leads and mentors a crew of millwrights on shift to ensure safety, workmanship quality, and project goals are met; reads blueprints and schematics to determine work procedures, dismantles and moves machinery, assembles and installs equipment such as conveyors, dryers and burners, welds structural steel and machine components, installs piping and dust systems, constructs foundations, aligns and secures machines, and repairs/lar lubricates equipment. Manages on-site supervision of millwrights and coordinates with foreman or superintendent to address deficiencies in workmanship, safety, quality, or compliance. Requires travel to customer job sites across the United States, primarily in the Midwest. Focus on installing and maintaining equipment, safety, and adherence to project timelines; emphasizes leadership, blueprints literacy, welding proficiency, and coordination of operations.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in GMAW or FCAW welding processes
- Has working knowledge of blueprints
- Can work independently
- Experience with Conveyor systems, bearings, and general equipment desired
- Ability to develop, layout, and plan sequence of operations
- Knowledge of weld defects and discontinuities
