Job Summary
Construction Materials Testing Technician I in Atlanta, GA, performs field testing on general building sites and facilities, interprets project plans and specifications for compliance, conducts concrete sampling and testing per ASTM and ACI standards, prepares written field reports including density calculations, adheres to safety policies, and interacts with client representatives on site to ensure testing data is accurate and reasonable.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years Construction Materials Testing experience either on commercial/industrial construction projects with emphasis on concrete testing and inspections.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- Good driving History
- Reliability – must be able to arrive at designated project sites prior to scheduled times
- Ability to prepare reports and documentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic knowledge of Excel
- Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as required
- Must pass physical, background check, and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
Desired Qualifications
- Recent graduate with Associates or BS in Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Management
- ACI Field Level I certification (concrete sampling and field testing)
- Fluent in Spanish, Japanese, or Korean
- Working towards BS in the above or BS in Civil Engineering.
- IBC Commercial Building Inspector Certification
- ICC Soils Certification
