Construction Materials Testing Technician - Flex Time

Job Summary
Entry-level Construction Materials Testing Technician role performing construction materials field tests across Nebraska. Responsibilities include field tests of concrete, masonry, soil, and asphalt, data entry of field observation and summary reports, assisting staff, transporting equipment and documents, following safety policies, QC plans, and SOPs, and communicating with project managers/engineers. Requires daily travel to project sites, occasional overnight/weekend work, reading and interpreting construction plans, ability to learn and operate specialty equipment, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift and move 80 lbs., stoop, bend, and stand in varying weather conditions
- Willingness to travel to project sites throughout Nebraska with occasional overnight/weekend work
- Experience or interest in construction-related field is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specs
- Ability to operate/learn specialty equipment and safety PPE
- Ability to travel and work weekends
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Safety-conscious, team player, self-motivated, eager to learn
- Ability to follow QC plans and SOPs
- Excellent attention to detail
