Construction Materials Tester

Construction Materials Tester - CMT Field Technician 1 will deliver accurate, defensible materials testing and documentation to support heavy civil infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include writing and submitting test reports daily, assisting with inspection of heavy civil construction, performing field tests on cement, concrete, aggregates, sieve analysis, sand equivalent, moisture content, and using a nuclear gauge to test densities of asphalt concrete, surfacing, and earthwork, and writing tickets for measurements. The role requires excellent verbal and written communication, proficiency with MS Word/Excel/Outlook, a valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and travel across Western Washington with per diem. Certification in WAQTC and ACI for in-place density and concrete field testing must be obtained within 3 months of hire. Flexibility to travel and adjust work schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency callouts, is required.
