Job Summary
Performs routine field and laboratory tests and inspections to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications; monitors, observes, and samples materials used in construction work; prepares daily reports and data sheets; operates with close to moderate supervision. Typical activities include observation and monitoring of backfilling of subgrades, installation of reinforcing, fresh concrete sampling, base stone, and asphalt densities. Position requires ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50+ lbs and work in outdoor environments at Montgomery, AL with a Full-time schedule. TTL offers certification support (ACI Concrete and other training) and a path to advancement within the company.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
- College coursework or degree preferred
- Ability to communicate professionally orally and in writing
- Good driving record
- Perform heavy lifting up to 50+ lbs
- Possess sufficient stamina to work in outdoor environment
- 1 year of testing experience in soil, concrete, earthwork, and asphalt is preferred
