Job Summary
Seasoned Construction Materials Engineering Technician role involving field testing and observation of soil, concrete, asphalt, and related materials across project sites. Responsibilities include project/document review, accurate recording of test results, Metafield data management, equipment maintenance, IBC-compliant inspection monitoring, and clear communication with management, contractors, and clients. Opportunity to work with a company vehicle, earn additional certifications, mentor junior technicians, and adapt to an occasionally fluctuating schedule including early mornings, some Saturdays, and overtime. Requires hands-on field work, outdoor conditions, valid driving credentials, and the ability to travel as project needs arise.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED
- minimum of 3 years of experience in construction testing/inspecting soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt materials
- ACI Field Testing Grade I; Strength Testing Technician; Laboratory Technician certifications
- ICC Special Inspector (Reinforced Concrete, Masonry, Soils)
