Job Summary
Conduct field observations at jobsites in the Philadelphia region and sample construction materials including soil, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel. Prepare accurate daily logs outlining inspections and test results while communicating daily with Project Managers regarding progress. Perform basic math, use measurement tools, and adhere to all safety requirements while lifting up to 80 pounds. Requires a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and ability to work in all outdoor climates. Starting rate is $25.00/hr, with certified special inspectors earning up to $30+/hr. plus a $400 sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Reliable vehicle for field work
- Valid driver's license
- Satisfactory driving record
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 60-80 pounds
- Ability to work in all outdoor climates and mobility over various terrain
- Attention to detail and quality, while adhering to all safety requirements
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office programs
- Ability to perform basic math and use measurement tools
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Desired Qualifications
- Experience as an experienced technician with verifiable certifications such as ACI, NICET, WACEL, etc.
