Job Summary
Conduct field observations at construction sites in the Sarasota region and sample materials including soil, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel. Prepare accurate daily logs detailing inspections and test results. Maintain daily communication with project managers or operations managers regarding progress and pertinent contractor updates. Work independently while collaborating with staff on land development and construction projects. Utilize a company-provided tablet and MS Office programs to document findings. Handle lifting up to 80 pounds and operate in all outdoor climates. Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required. Starting salary of $23.00/hr with a $200 sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Reliable vehicle for field work
- Valid driver's license
- Satisfactory driving record
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 60-80 pounds
- Ability to work in all outdoor climates and mobility over various terrain
- Attention to detail and quality, while adhering to all safety requirements
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Use of company provided tablet
- Working knowledge of MS Office programs
- Ability to perform basic math and use measurement tools
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Desired Qualifications
- Experience as an experienced technician
- Verifiable certifications such as ACI, NICET, WACEL, etc.
