Job Summary
Conduct field observations at jobsites in the Annapolis Junction, MD region to sample and test construction materials including soil, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel. Prepare accurate daily logs outlining inspections and test results, while maintaining daily communication with the Project Manager or Operations Manager regarding project progress. Work independently and collaboratively with staff across land development and construction projects, utilizing a company-provided tablet and MS Office programs. Requires a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and ability to lift up to 80 pounds in all outdoor climates. Preferred candidates hold verifiable certifications such as ACI, NICET, or WACEL.
Required Qualifications
- Reliable vehicle for field work
- Valid driver's license
- Satisfactory driving record
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 60-80 pounds
- Ability to work in all outdoor climates and mobility over various terrain
- Attention to detail and quality, while adhering to all safety requirements
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office programs
- Ability to perform basic math and use measurement tools
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Desired Qualifications
- Experience as an experienced technician with verifiable certifications such as ACI, NICET, WACEL, etc.
