Job Summary
Conduct field observations at jobsites in the Chantilly, VA region to sample and test construction materials including soil, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel. Prepare accurate daily logs outlining inspections and test results. Communicate daily with Project Managers or Operations Managers regarding project progress and contractor updates. This role requires a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and the ability to lift 60-80 pounds. Experience with verifiable certifications such as ACI, NICET, or WACEL is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Reliable vehicle for field work
- Valid driver's license
- Satisfactory driving record
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 60-80 pounds
- Ability to work in all outdoor climates
- Attention to detail and quality
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office programs
- Ability to perform basic math
- Ability to use measurement tools
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Desired Qualifications
