Job Summary
Conduct field observations at jobsites in the Ashland, VA region to sample and test construction materials including soil, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel. Prepare accurate daily logs outlining inspections and test results, while maintaining daily communication with project managers or operations managers regarding progress. Utilize a company-provided tablet and MS Office to document work, adhering to all safety requirements and lifting up to 80 pounds of equipment. Requires a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and ability to work in all outdoor climates. Starting salary is $20.00/hr with a $200 sign-on bonus and paid on-the-job training.
Required Qualifications

- Ability to meet all pre-employment requirements
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 60-80 pounds
- Ability to work in all outdoor climates and mobility over various terrain
- Attention to detail and quality, while adhering to all safety requirements
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Use of company provided tablet
- Working knowledge of MS Office programs
- Ability to perform basic math and use measurement tools
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
