Job Summary
Lead on-site construction execution for large-scale data center facilities across Texas, serving as the Owner's representative to oversee electrical, mechanical, utilities, and mission-critical infrastructure scopes. Conduct daily site walks to validate safety, schedule, and quality while coordinating contractors, vendors, and commissioning teams for systems including chillers, switchgear, and water treatment plants. Manage day or night shift activities, monitor progress against integrated P6 schedules, and drive behavioral-based safety culture through continuous risk identification and issue resolution. Report weekly productivity metrics and milestone status to project leadership while ensuring timely startup, turnover, and closeout deliverables.
Required Qualifications
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- 10 or more years of progressive experience managing large scale commercial, industrial, mission critical, data center, utility, manufacturing, or infrastructure construction projects
- Proven experience in field supervision, scheduling, quality control, subcontractor management, and contractor coordination for high volume projects
- Strong understanding of construction documents, design coordination, field execution planning, and commissioning workflows
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software such as Primavera P6, Procore, or similar tools
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills with a proactive, solutions oriented mindset
- Ability to work in a fast paced, multi site environment with competing priorities
- Ability to support day shift or night shift assignments based on project needs
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Equivalent field experience will be considered
- Experience overseeing electrical, mechanical, utilities, fire protection, water treatment, wastewater treatment, or major equipment installation scopes strongly preferred
- Electrical Construction Manager candidates should have working knowledge of data center electrical distribution, Central Main Distribution Area scopes, switchgear, electrical rooms, gear installation, energization support, and coordination with electrical trade partners
- Mechanical, utility, and yard focused Construction Manager candidates should have familiarity with large equipment and systems such as chillers, compressors, pumps, air handlers, fire protection infrastructure, water treatment systems, wastewater treatment systems, mechanical yards, and electrical yards
- Commissioning, startup, system turnover, or integrated systems testing experience is a strong plus
- Working knowledge of lean construction methodologies and continuous improvement practices
- Local candidates are preferred
- highly qualified candidates open to relocation or travel work with per-diem will be considered
