Job Summary
Construction Manager, Wireless leads safety and operational excellence on wireless telecom tower projects. Provides visible safety leadership, supports foremen, crews, and subcontractors, and ensures compliance with company policies, client requirements, and applicable regulations. Responsibilities include on-site leadership of field supervisors and crews; coordinating with project managers, engineering teams, subcontractors, and field personnel; developing safe work plans (MOPs/JHAs) and conducting site inspections and hazard assessments; guiding incident investigations and root-cause analysis; overseeing crane, rigging, fall protection, RF hazard mitigation, and other high-risk activities; ensuring environmental protection and regulatory compliance; supporting project close-out and client acceptance; and fostering a collaborative, high-performance safety-focused team culture. Required are a Technical Diploma and/or equivalent experience and at least 5 years in telecommunications wireless construction, plus strong leadership and budgeting/coordination skills.
Required Qualifications
- Technical Diploma and/or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant telecommunications wireless construction experience
- Solid understanding of wireless site builds and knowledge of constructing or upgrading cellular sites
- Ability to participate in planning and overall management of a project schedule
- Understand construction documents and ensure they are complete; protect owner's and WesTower’s interests; clearly define expectations; provide incentives to perform
- Knowledge of construction project costs and budgets
- Ability to build a strong team-oriented and HSE-conscious culture at work
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
