Job Summary

Lead and oversee construction management activities for significant water and wastewater treatment plant projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and designers, to monitor progress, resolve issues, and maintain client satisfaction. Serve as the primary contact for municipal clients in Orange County, addressing needs throughout the project lifecycle. Identify and secure new project opportunities within the civil engineering industry by leveraging business development experience. Foster a safe, positive team culture while managing cross-functional relationships. This role requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or Construction Management with a minimum of 10 years of experience in large-scale municipal water projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management of large-scale water and wastewater projects for municipal or federal clients
  • Proven track record of successful business development in the civil engineering sector, specifically with municipalities in Orange County, California
  • Strong understanding of construction regulations, industry standards, and best practices within the water and wastewater treatment plant sector
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and foster collaborative working relationships
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build and maintain strong client relationships and successfully navigate negotiations
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools to facilitate efficient project tracking and reporting
  • Strategic mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • Registered Professional Engineer
  • OSHA-30 Hour
  • Proficiency with Primavera, MS Project, Excel, and Word
