Job Summary
Direct and coordinate all construction activities to obtain optimum efficiency and achieve maximum profits while developing and maintaining consistent, efficient construction practices. Track productivity data utilizing production plans, develop field systems to assure consistency, quality, safety, accuracy, and efficiency, and manage the performance and development of project managers through quarterly reviews. Provide technical and managerial training and mentoring for direct reports, cultivate sub and temp labor relationships, and ensure compliance with operational safety and security policies. Approve all Lead Carpenter and Foremen, analyze and recommend capital expenditures, and maintain proper risk management by reviewing internal controls for financial, computer, and building security systems. Maintain a daily journal and current procedure manual to protect future litigation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related field
- 4-6 years of management experience
- 4-6 years of experience as a Project Manager
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Solid leadership and organizational skills
- Strong attention to details
- Good math and computer skills
- Written and verbal communications skills
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of residential construction
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of OSHA Safety regulations
- Ability to understand financial statements
- Effective planning and scheduling capability
