Job Summary
Construction Manager to lead utility telecom construction projects in the Seattle area. Oversees site planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation; supervises onsite construction activities; ensures compliance with design specifications, building codes, and safety; conducts site inspections; manages relationships with contractors, vendors, and suppliers; prepares progress reports, permits, and change orders; communicates with stakeholders, and enforces quality control and environmental compliance. Flexible schedule with some evenings/weekends; independent work and team collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- 8-10 years of total relevant experience including at least 5 years in a supervisory/leadership role
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or relevant field of study; or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge and experience in telecom construction (Coax Splicing, Fiber Splicing, Directional Drilling, map reading)
- Knowledge and experience with aerial and underground construction
- Experience in estimating, bidding projects and change order preparation
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn custom software
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule with varied hours; some evenings and weekends as needed
- Must possess a valid government-issued photo ID; driver’s license if driving is involved
- Passing of pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
- OSHA 10 certification a plus
