Job Summary
Construction Manager for a Sports & Recreation Program in Queens, NY. Plans, organizes, and directs activities related to construction of structures, facilities, and systems; coordinates with owners, contractors, and design professionals to resolve work procedures, complaints, and construction problems; manages project delivery strategies, schedules, budgets, procurement, contractor selection, and contract paperwork; oversees QA/QC quality control plans, safety management plans, and building permits compliance; participates in weekly construction meetings and prepares progress reports; reviews contractor payments and change orders, and develops cost reports. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture or related field (or 8 years equivalent experience per policy), OSHA 30-hour training, proficiency with web-based construction management software, and strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Full-time on-site role in Queens, NY with limited remote working accommodations. Experience in large-scale building programs and sports, recreation, or hospitality projects is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture or a related field
- four years relevant experience
- OSHA 30-hour training
- ability to navigate Web-based construction management software
- experience with meetings, agendas, and minutes for project records
