Job Summary
Monitor project performance regarding budget, schedule, quality, safety, risk management, and contract compliance while collaborating with contractors, architects, engineers, government stakeholders, CORs, and facility personnel. Review construction drawings, specifications, and submittals to identify inconsistencies, then analyze baseline schedules and contractor updates to evaluate progress and identify recovery opportunities. Prepare executive-level status updates, meeting minutes, and change order documentation while supporting claims administration and quality assurance implementation. This role supports an Electronic Health Record Modernization project at the VA Medical Center in Montrose, New York, requiring coordination within an active healthcare environment to ensure patient safety and uninterrupted operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
- In lieu of a degree, fifteen (15) years of directly related construction management, construction administration, or project management experience
- Minimum three (3) years of project management, construction administration, construction management, or related construction experience
- Experience supporting federal construction projects
- Experience working with general contractors and subcontractors and understanding construction site operations
- Experience with construction financial management, schedule management, project controls, and contract administration
- Experience reviewing construction documents, drawings, specifications, and schedules
- Experience coordinating multiple project stakeholders, including contractors, A/E teams, government representatives, CORs, and end users
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and construction management software platforms
- Ability to analyze schedules, budgets, construction documentation, and project performance metrics
- Understanding of project controls, quality management, risk management, and change management principles
- Full-time onsite work at an active construction site and office environment
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use standard office equipment
- Employment may be contingent upon successful completion of background checks and compliance with federal and VA suitability requirements
- Must adhere to all site safety, security, and confidentiality policies

- Autodesk Build and Autodesk FORMA experience
- Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) coordination experience
- Commissioning coordination experience
- Quality Assurance Surveillance Program (QASP) experience
- OSHA 30 certification
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Professional Engineer (PE), or equivalent construction industry certifications
