Job Summary

Inspect and oversee railroad construction work to ensure procedures, materials, and contractor operations comply with plans, specifications, and local agency requirements. Perform quality control inspections, document field work, prepare technical reports, and maintain daily logs comparing progress against estimates. Coordinate between stakeholders while upholding safety practices and managing material testing oversight. This role requires 90% travel and proficiency in Microsoft applications and construction management software.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma
  • 5+ years of general construction experience
  • Ability to travel 90% of the time
  • Valid drivers license required
  • Must successfully complete background check and drug screening
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in highway or railroad construction
  • Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, HeadLight, etc.)
  • Construction Management or Civil Engineering Degree
