Job Summary
Construction Manager to oversee home-building projects in assigned communities. Responsible for managing all construction activities to meet cost, schedule, and quality standards; supervise trade partners, coordinate scheduling, review construction drawings for plan errors or conflicts, ensure safety protocols and regulatory compliance, and manage the customer experience throughout the building process. Role requires on-site attendance 5 days per week at job sites in Westborough, MA and surrounding area. Key duties include evaluating trade partner performance, updating project schedules, ensuring complete and compliant work, negotiating solutions to concerns, coordinating with Community Sales, conducting daily site safety inspections, authorizing payments to trade partners, and collaborating with Product Development and Purchasing to address plan quality and budget challenges.
Required Qualifications
- University degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2-4 years of prior relevant experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to manage construction processes in a high-production environment
- Ability to direct and manage trade performance
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in reading blueprints
- Knowledge of municipal permitting and regulations
- Knowledge of building codes
- Experience with construction scheduling software
- Budgeting and cost overrun management,
