Job Summary
Oversee daily trade partner activities and supervise construction at assigned job sites in the Schaumburg, Illinois area. Review construction drawings for errors, evaluate project schedules, and authorize field purchase orders to manage costs and resources. Conduct daily inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols, building codes, and the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan. Stop noncompliant work immediately and negotiate solutions with customers and sales personnel to maintain the customer experience. Collaborate with Product Development and Purchasing teams to address budgetary challenges and plan quality issues. Complete onsite attendance five days per week while managing community performance and trade partner vetting.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1-2 years of construction experience or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to manage construction processes in a high-production environment
- Ability to direct and manage trade performance
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read blueprints
- General knowledge of municipal permitting and regulations
- General knowledge of building codes
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction-related scheduling software
- Basic computer literacy
- Dedicated commitment to customer satisfaction
- Ability to control cost overruns and manage a budget
- Ability to exert a minimal force of up to 50 pounds and occasionally exert up to 80 pounds of minimal force to carry, lift, push, pull, and otherwise move objects
- Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, and other means to reach and observe all areas of the building
- Ability to work in various weather conditions – heat, rain, cold, etc.
- Onsite attendance 5 days per week at assigned job sites in the Schaumburg, Illinois area
