Job Summary
Oversee pre-construction and construction activities for Class A industrial developments ranging from 150,000 to 1,000,000 square feet as the owner's representative. Build relationships with architects, engineers, general contractors, and subcontractors while leading RFP processes for contractor selection. Manage permitting, licensing, budgets, schedules, and procurement activities, including reviewing estimates, approving invoices, and coordinating material sourcing and project logistics. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and quality, prepare project reports for leadership, and manage project closeout documentation. Coordinate with lenders, investors, and equity partners regarding project execution. Based onsite in Torrance, CA, this role requires 10 to 15 years of commercial construction management experience and proficiency with project management software.
Required Qualifications
- 10 to 15 years of commercial or multifamily construction management experience
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, including schedules, subcontracts, change orders, procurement, insurance, logistics, and project closeout
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams
- Strong understanding of construction practices, architectural design, and engineering principles
- Valid driver's license required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience managing large-scale industrial construction projects preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Proficiency with AI tools, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, or similar project management software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
