Job Summary
Construction Manager oversees the construction of homes from inception to move-in, manages job sites and schedules, and supervises trade partners to ensure timelines and scopes are met. Responsible for twice-daily home walks to monitor progress and uphold quality, negotiating solutions with inspectors and trade partners to support budget adherence, managing daily trade partner communications and approvals through Build Pro, maintaining safety logs and ensuring compliance with state and federal building codes, performing Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan inspections, and coordinating with internal teams (sales, customer care, management) to resolve issues. Proficiency in construction-management software (Build Pro, Procore) and Microsoft Office is required, along with the ability to read blueprints and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. This role emphasizes safety, quality, cost management, scheduling, and collaboration to deliver high-quality, on-time homes.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- college degree preferred
- 3-5 years' experience in home building/construction
- Experience in residential construction management
- Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Build Pro, Procore
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Valid auto insurance coverage
- Knowledge of construction practices, building codes, and the ability to read blueprints
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Regular, in-person attendance at company communities/job sites and offices during regular work hours
