Job Summary
The Construction Manager will oversee field execution activities, assisting Operations and Project Managers in constructing structures safely and economically. The role requires directing daily craft work, involvement in pre-job planning including budgets, schedules, and quality control, while providing oversight and support to project personnel. Key responsibilities include conducting daily meetings, ensuring adherence to project plans, coordinating subcontractor work, and conducting inspections. A four-year degree in Engineering or Construction Management is required, alongside substantial project management experience, particularly in a supervisory capacity within Heavy Industrial/EPC settings.
Required Qualifications
- 4 year degree in Engineering, or Construction Management; or combination of equivalent education and 10 years job-related experience if no degree
- 5+ years supervisory experience in Heavy Industrial/EPC project work
Desired Qualifications
- Prior project management/P&L experience
- Experience working with union construction sub-contractors
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize performance
- Ability to analyze project schedules and related reports and provide input towards optimization
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
