Job Summary
Construction Manager to oversee transmission, substation, and distribution construction activities, manage budgets and schedules, ensure contract adherence and regulatory compliance, lead construction teams and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, oversee permitting and environmental/regulatory applications, manage materials procurement, run weekly progress meetings, handle RFIs and change orders, and maintain safety and environmental performance while forecasting cash flow and mitigating risk in Berlin, CT.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Applied Science, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience
- 5-10 years of construction, maintenance, or related experience (transmission/substation preferred)
- Deep knowledge of transmission, substation, and distribution construction practices
- Strong understanding of safety regulations, environmental compliance, and construction quality assurance
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with Project Managers, Engineering, Scheduling, Procurement, Legal, and field operations
- Valid driver’s license required
- Proficiency in construction documentation, scheduling, and cost control
