Construction Manager/Independent Site Engineer

Job Summary
Independently review technical submittals, including construction documents, as-builts, change requests, and design variances, while anticipating project requirements to prevent delays. Coordinate with project staff to establish work plans and define team member scopes, verifying contractor compliance with approved plans, specifications, and authorized amendments. Lead coordination among the client, program manager, design-builder, and third-party stakeholders to guide the California High-Speed Rail System from conceptual development through final construction. Apply strong knowledge of bridge construction, earthwork, and plan interpretation to identify and prevent construction defects. Serve as the on-site client representative for major heavy civil transportation projects in the Fresno area.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- California Professional Engineer (PE) License
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with heavy civil transportation projects
- Caltrans construction methods and practices, minimum of 5 years' experience
- Relevant past work experience performing field engineering tasks of increasing responsibility
