Job Summary
Construction Manager III oversees field execution and directs daily craft work through subordinate personnel, supporting operations and project managers in pre-job planning, budgeting, scheduling, safety and quality plans, staffing, and subcontractor selections. Responsible for coordinating subcontractors, conducting site walk-downs and inspections, ensuring adherence to the project plan, and assisting with proposals, bids, and change orders. Provides guidance to subordinate managers, participates in problem resolution with clients, and performs general administrative duties. Requires leadership in safety, adherence to codes and standards, and effective coordination across project teams; travel between field locations and occasional overtime may be required. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; able to analyze schedules and optimize project performance.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years’ field supervisory experience overseeing and directing work of various craft trades, prior experience as a Foreman preferred
- Significant experience and knowledge of industrial construction and repair
- Thorough understanding of industry practices, codes and standards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; and good organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize performance
- Ability to analyze project schedules and related reports and provide input towards optimization
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
