Job Summary
Senior on-site Construction Manager for electrical substation projects overseeing field teams, subcontractors, safety compliance per OSHA, NESC, and NFPA 70E; develops and executes work plans, monitors schedules, productivity, and materials; coordinates outages and tie-ins with utilities, manages costs and change management, supports commissioning and energization, and serves as primary on-site contact for clients, inspectors, and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of substation construction methods and practices
- Proven leadership experience managing field crews and subcontractors
- In-depth understanding of electrical safety in energized environments
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Experience coordinating complex construction and commissioning activities
- Willingness to travel extensively and work on-site at project locations
- Familiarity with protection & control systems and commissioning processes preferred
