Job Summary
Manage project planning activities, including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, and risk assessment for retail construction projects across multiple markets. Coordinate with Real Estate, Design, Operations, and Finance teams during site development, while reviewing lease exhibits and landlord work obligations to ensure compliance. Lead bid processes, negotiate costs, and approve invoices, then monitor expenditures and identify value engineering solutions. Conduct regular site visits, evaluate contractor performance, and oversee permitting and governmental approvals to meet local building codes and ADA requirements. Coordinate final inspections, punch lists, and turnover activities to support grand-opening schedules and operational readiness milestones. Requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or Construction Management with 5-8 years of experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or other related discipline
- 5-8 years of construction project management experience in retail, commercial, restaurant, grocery, or related sectors
- Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects across different geographic regions
- Knowledge of permitting, contract administration, and construction documentation
- Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar project management tools
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
