Job Summary

Construction Manager in San Bernardino, CA to oversee and coordinate all facets of the construction and close-out phase of assigned public works projects (EV infrastructure, libraries, museums, aviation sectors) in collaboration with project, program, and client leadership. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and reporting on project status to upper management; coordinating with city/county agencies during pre-construction and construction; managing project budget and schedule; overseeing daily contractor activities, reviewing submittals, RFCs, and change orders; reviewing payments and ensuring compliance with client requirements; administering professional service agreements between architects and the public works client; monitoring project close-out and financial close-out. Requires knowledge of coordinating scope, cost, and schedule across multiple projects; experience with cost estimation, budget reconciliation, and value engineering; strong written and oral communication; ability to contribute to organizational goals and develop career progression. Preferred education and experience include a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field, seven years of experience in public works/public sector project management, and certifications such as CCM, PMP, PE, AIA, LEED.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in project management, engineering, or construction management of commercial and/or public works facility construction with full responsibility for coordinating complex projects
  • Prior experience on public sector projects and familiarity with public contracting code
  • Preferred prior project based experience with EV infrastructure, libraries, museums, or other municipal projects
  • Preferred Certification: CCM, PMP, PE, AIA, LEED
