Job Summary
Construction Manager to oversee day-to-day construction operations in Kittery, ME, ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, and applicable regulations. Will coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes while focusing on performance, accountability, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include reviewing drawings/specifications/RFPs for constructability, coordinating meetings and site activities, monitoring progress, reviewing submittals and safety/QC programs, managing RFIs/change requests, QC inspections/testing, enforcing safety plans (AHAs, Accident Prevention Plans, NAVFAC P-307 crane lift plans), supporting contract modifications and IGEs, reviewing contractor schedules and payments, documenting performance, and supporting closeout activities (as-built drawings, warranties, O&M manuals, DD1354). Mentors junior staff and provides project status updates to NAVFAC leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Clearance: Secret
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited), Architecture (NAAB-accredited), Construction Management, or Engineering Technology (ABET-accredited)
- Ability to pass the Corps of Engineers EM-385 Safety & Health exam within 15 days of onboarding
- Minimum of seven (7) years as a Construction Manager, Project Manager, Field Engineer, or Quality Control Manager on commercial, industrial, utility, or waterfront projects valued at $5M or more.
