Job Summary
Owner’s Representative – Construction Manager (Pharmaceutical Projects) on a Clayton, NC-based portfolio. Oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule across utility upgrades, warehouse modifications, and facility infrastructure work. Coordinate with internal project teams and external contractors, manage RFIs and change orders, participate in scope reviews and pre-construction planning, perform field inspections and QA/QC, and provide support during shutdowns. Requires 8+ years in construction management, OSHA safety proficiency, ability to read CAD/P&IDs/specs, and on-site presence in active construction environments. Preferred experience with CQV/startup phases; degree in construction management or engineering preferred but not required with relevant experience. Contract, 12-month engagement with extended/on-call support during shutdowns.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of Construction Management experience, preferably in pharmaceuticals or life sciences
- Demonstrated leadership on capital projects from pre-construction through closeout
- Strong understanding of construction safety and OSHA standards
- Proficiency in reading CAD drawings, P&IDs, and specs
- Comfortable working on-site in active construction environments
- Familiar with Microsoft Office, construction logs, and field documentation
- Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities
- Experience supporting CQV/startup phases (preferred)
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred, not required with relevant experience)
