Job Summary
Manage projects, assignments, and pursuits as the primary client liaison, overseeing team delivery of scope, schedule, and budget. Lead project teams in developing proposals, preparing design documents, and providing roadway modification guidance. Analyze design options, check construction plans and cost estimates for accuracy, and ensure quality assurance through review of specifications. Interface with clients to create new business opportunities and mentor support-level staff. Requires PE license, 10+ years of experience, and knowledge of DOT standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- Strong knowledge of civil/traffic/aviation engineering concepts
- PE with a Civil Engineer license or a CCM
- 10 or more years of combined experience in construction, design, engineering, and project management including managing projects and staff
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of relevant construction management or design standards and guidelines such as DOT Standard Plans & Specifications, APWA Greenbook, Highway Construction and or Design Manuals, MUTCD, and various local Municipal construction management/Design standards
- Must be alert to equipment in the field
- Occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery
- Occasional need to walk on uneven ground
- Exposure to dust, gas or fumes
- Exposure to noise
- Extremes in temperature or humidity
- Potential work at heights
- Must be able to lift and/or move light equipment up to 20 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D and Bluebeam Software, preferred
