Job Summary
Oversee construction work from planning through execution, developing detailed execution plans, schedules, and resource plans for assigned projects. Coordinate construction activities including equipment installations, piping systems, utility tie-ins, maintenance outages, shutdowns, and turnaround work while reviewing engineering drawings for constructability. Lead jobsite safety planning, participate in hazard assessments and work permits, and ensure compliance with OSHA and regulatory requirements. Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports; develop labor estimates, material takeoffs, and subcontractor bid packages. Serve as the primary point of contact with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to drive safe execution, schedule milestones, and client satisfaction. This role plays a key part in ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with all quality and client requirements at Bilfinger's industrial services provider in St. Louis, Missouri.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of industrial construction experience
- Experience within mechanical, process, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, chemical, consumer products, power, or heavy industrial environments
- Demonstrated experience managing industrial construction activities
- Experience coordinating multiple work fronts simultaneously
- Experience with shutdowns, turnarounds, maintenance projects, or capital project execution
- Strong understanding of construction safety, quality, scheduling, cost control, procurement, and subcontractor management
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, piping isometrics, and construction documents
- Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Procore, or similar project management software
- Knowledge of Lean Construction principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience preparing subcontractor bid packages and managing construction contracts
- Experience supporting industrial maintenance, shutdown, and turnaround environments
- Familiarity with digital construction tools, construction planning software, and field productivity systems
