Job Summary
Oversee BESS construction projects from mobilization through completion, coordinating subcontractors across civil, structural, electrical, and commissioning phases. Manage staffing, schedules, and resources while administering contracts, securing permits, and ensuring compliance with NEC, OSHA, and customer specifications. Track costs, schedules, and revenue recognition to maintain budget adherence and report progress to senior leadership. Develop regional work plans, optimize procurement, and lead project teams through constructability reviews and quality audits. Travel extensively among active sites to monitor progress, resolve deficiencies, and support handoff from estimating to operations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of ten (10) years of combined experience in construction administration and management
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively among active construction sites
- Strong focus on safety, quality, schedule, cost, and customer satisfaction
- Ability to develop and manage budgets within established parameters
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical materials accurately and effectively
- Ability to make objective, timely decisions and perform effectively under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of legal, contractual, and safety requirements applicable to construction projects
- Ability to manage various levels of personnel, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors
- Ability to review documents and present facts and conclusions clearly in written, oral, and graphic form
- Organizational skills necessary to maintain records, prepare reports, and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, electrical schematics, and specifications
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage employees
- Reliable, customer-oriented, and willing to be part of a construction team made up of honest and dependable professionals
- Ability to effectively solve problems and conflicts
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and provide leadership in the execution of complex construction projects and organize a team effort

- Working knowledge of BESS construction processes, including civil, structural, electrical, controls, medium-voltage and low-voltage systems, QA/QC, and commissioning activities
- Knowledge of applicable NEC requirements, electrical codes, OSHA standards, construction safety practices, and project specifications
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in BESS, electrical power, substation, renewable energy, or other complex EPC construction
