Job Summary
Construction Manager in Beckley, WV leading the network delivery team and overseeing circuit delivery to new customers. Acts as primary interface with local jurisdictions, utilities for pole attachments and conduit agreements, state one-call systems, DOH/DOT, and railroad stakeholders. Ensures standardized processes, safe and timely project completion, and accurate reporting across programs within assigned areas. Requires experience in aerial/underground installation or fiber splicing, strong PM skills, and proficiency with MS Office, Google Earth, fiber-mapping tools, and related systems. Strong communication and leadership to coordinate with Sales, OSP, and PMO groups and ensure compliance with OSHA, NESC, and local regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Five (5) years technical experience in Engineering, Construction, or Operations
- Knowledge of utility construction in aerial installation, underground installation, or fiber splicing
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (preferred) or equivalent job experience
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office, Google Earth (KMZ), EBS, Site Tracker, M4/CV fiber mapping, WFM, ICMS
- Strong understanding of OSHA rules; NESC requirements; and Federal, State (DOT/DOH), and local regulations
- Safe driving record
- Proven project management skills across multiple projects and geographies
- Technical expertise in fiber optic systems and construction methods
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects safely, timely, and efficiently
