Job Summary
Construction Manager 3 for Substation project in Hawaii oversees site construction activities to meet schedule, safety, budget, and quality goals alongside the Project Field Manager. Responsibilities include providing means, methods, and staffing for substation construction; developing and maintaining safety programs with EH&S; crafting training and certification programs for lineman and groundman trades; developing construction procedures and quality programs; recruiting craft and leadership for the project; supporting staffing estimates and cost-related reporting; leading design-constructability reviews; assisting with subcontract development; participating in risk reviews and mitigation planning; tracking progress, cost, and quantity data; maintaining client/subcontractor relationships; producing Job Hazard Analyses for major erection packages; identifying back charges and out-of-scope issues; supporting commercial recovery; supervising and developing direct reports; and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards while supporting continuous improvement. Strong emphasis on leadership, budgeting, risk management, project controls, and multi-tasking in a field construction environment; bilingual skills (Spanish) preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or related field preferred, or relevant field experience
- 10+ years construction supervisory experience required
- OSHA Training
