Construction Management Representative

Job Summary

Conduct daily on-site inspections and prepare reports with photographs documenting construction progress, quality, workmanship, and safety compliance for wastewater, potable water, and electrical utility restoration projects at Grand Canyon National Park. Review and process contractor submittals, RFIs, schedules, certified payrolls, and payment requests while monitoring compliance with contract requirements, building codes, and safety standards. Coordinate project meetings, prepare minutes, and document inspections by architects, engineers, and code officials. Manage project records in NPS Project Team software and support contract modifications, cost estimates, and negotiation documentation. This contingent role requires Engineer Level I classification, OSHA 30-Hour certification, and specialized infrastructure experience, with a 258-day schedule including a winter shutdown.

Required Qualifications

  • Engineer Level I classification for the Construction Management Representative (CMR)
  • Minimum OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Training certification
  • Specialized experience in infrastructure/utility projects
