Job Summary
On-site Construction Management Representative for the James R. Browning U.S. Courthouse in San Francisco, overseeing masonry restoration and exterior façade work. Coordinates technical and administrative activities; reads and interprets contract plans and specs; reviews drawings and contract document changes; advises government on design/construction phase activities; manages schedules, budgets, and potential disputes; ensures quality and safety standards; conducts inspections, reviews pay applications, and maintains stakeholder communications. Requires minimum 10 years in related fields and a bachelor’s degree in CM/Engineering/Architecture; CMAA CCM preferred; OSHA 30-hour preferred; valid driver’s license. Familiar with FAR/GSAM and CMAA standards; experience with historic masonry projects and knowledge of modern construction tools (Kahua, Primavera, MS Project, Word, Excel).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture
- Minimum 10 years of experience in architecture, engineering, and/or construction
- Specific experience on projects of similar size, scope, and complexity
- Experience on historic masonry projects is a plus
- Knowledge of local and national codes
- Knowledge of construction means and methods including historic preservation and exterior masonry restoration
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally
- Experience in preparing correspondence, written reports, and briefing clients/management
- Familiarity with CMAA Construction Management Standards of Practice
- Knowledge of construction management software (Kahua, Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Primavera)
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) from CMAA preferred
- OSHA 30-hour construction safety training preferred
- Valid driver's license
