Job Summary
Part-time Construction Management Intern in Irvine, CA (with consideration for Los Angeles) to support a range of civil engineering tasks, assist with project research, field work, calculations, and cost estimates; review project plans and specifications; help prepare final design plans, cost provisions, and project documentation; training on assigned tasks and adherence to company policies; internship targets undergraduate or graduate students in Civil Engineering or related fields; no relocation/housing assistance; compensation range $19-$30 per hour; anticipated Summer 2026 term; 18+ and US work authorization required; preferred candidates may be enrolled in a Masters/PhD program and have experience with MicroStation or AutoCAD.
Required Qualifications
- Actively enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering, or related, Undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date in 2027 or later
- Must be 18 years or older
- Demonstrated interest in Construction Engineering or related field
- Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills
- Capable of taking direction from leadership, mentors, and managers
- Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools
- Authorized to work in the United States at internship start date
- Preferred: Actively enrolled in Civil Engineering, or related, Masters or PhD program with anticipated graduation date in 2027 or later
- Experience using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
- Prior internship and leadership involvement on campus
- No relocation or housing assistance provided for internship
