Job Summary
Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, including EPC and supply agreements, while incorporating risk mitigation and dispute resolution mechanisms. Monitor contract execution, variations, and claims to protect company interests. Assist in obtaining permits, environmental approvals, and land-use permissions in compliance with Omani regulations, ensuring adherence to building codes and safety standards. Support the management of construction disputes, regulatory challenges, and contractor obligations, working with external counsel on litigation or mediation as required. Maintain regulatory records and filings while adapting to industry-standard contracts like FIDIC. Requires legal admission in Oman, 3–5 years of construction law experience, and proficiency in English with Arabic preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Law, or other related field
- 3–5 years in construction law, project contracting, or regulatory compliance
- Experience preferably in a corporate legal department or law firm handling construction-related legal matters
- Qualification to practice in Oman
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Strong attention to detail
