Job Summary
Load, unload, and distribute materials, tools, and equipment across the job site as directed. Perform demolition, excavation support, concrete work, and other general construction tasks as assigned. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free job site by removing debris, stacking materials, and securing equipment. Operate hand tools, power tools, and light equipment safely while assisting skilled tradespeople with task preparation and on-site support. Follow direction from the Superintendent or Foreman, communicate promptly on work completion or issues, and participate in pre-task planning, toolbox talks, and safety briefings. Adhere to OSHA regulations and wear required PPE, reporting any hazards or incidents immediately. Sign in and out accurately, document tool damage or shortages, and complete daily logs and inspection checklists. Assist with material tracking, inventory management, and project mobilization/demobilization as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Physical ability to perform the full range of labor duties described in this job description
- Ability to safely operate common hand tools and power tools (drills, grinders, saws, etc.)
- Basic understanding of construction site safety practices and willingness to follow all safety requirements
- Ability to take direction, follow instructions precisely, and work effectively as part of a team
- Physical ability to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs occasionally
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or adjusted schedules as project demands require
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Respectful conduct toward all crew members, subcontractors, and site visitors at all times
- Comfortable with regular standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crawling
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Prior construction labor experience
- Experience in commercial or industrial construction environments
- OSHA 10 certification
- Willingness to obtain OSHA 10 if not currently certified
- Forklift, scissor lift, or aerial work platform certification or operating experience
