Job Summary
Field-based Construction Inspector responsible for inspecting the quality of work and materials across TRISO-X construction projects, verifying compliance with plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements. Duties include reviewing plans, attending meetings, inspecting storm water plans, overseeing ITP-driven witness points, checking line/grade/elevation, observing materials for laboratory examination, recording quantities, evaluating tests via site inspections, preparing daily records, assisting with pay estimates, and reporting progress. The role requires outdoor work in various weather conditions, adherence to PPE protocols, and collaboration with management to ensure contractor performance aligns with project requirements. Physical demands include frequent walking, standing, and occasional climbing, with lifting up to 25 pounds. A college degree is preferred, and fifteen years of mechanical/construction inspection experience is typically required for the senior-level responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of construction inspection principles and practices
- Experience reading and interpreting construction documents, including plans, specifications, and shop drawings
- Ability to meet physical demands on an active construction site (rough/uneven terrain, frequent walking/standing/sitting)
- College degree preferred in engineering, construction management, or related field
- Lead execution with minimal supervision and provide guidance to junior team members
