Job Summary
The Construction Inspector will oversee road, bridge, or associated construction projects with values ranging from $1-$50 million. Responsibilities include interfacing with contractor supervisors, completing daily reports, measuring and calculating unit price quantities, monitoring maintenance of traffic, and assisting in material sampling and testing. Required qualifications include a High School Diploma, 5 years of applicable experience, and a valid driver's license, along with strong communication skills and a commitment to workplace safety. Preferred qualifications include an Associate of Science degree in a related field and experience with construction management software.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 5 years applicable experience
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to learn how to read plans and specifications
- Have a valid driver's license
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Desired Qualifications
- Associate of Science degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or related field
- Average proficiency with MS WORD Suite
- Hands-on experience with construction management software such as Site or Field Manager, APPIA, Procore, IPD or similar systems
- Knowledge of Bluebeam
- ACI, NETTCP certification or ability to attain within 3-months of hiring
