Construction Inspector Water/Wastewater

Job Summary
Conduct regular inspections of water/wastewater, stormwater, utilities, and roadway infrastructure projects to verify compliance with approved plans, codes, and contract documents. Provide field engineering and construction management support including submittal review, contract interpretation, and change order processing. Accurately document all activities through daily reports, field files, and material testing oversight while performing measurements for pay item documentation. Coordinate close-out activities, prepare punch lists, and facilitate progress meetings with clients, contractors, and project teams. Operate Project Management Information Systems such as Procore or eBuilder to manage files and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree/equivalent or better
- 3+ years of related experience on field projects
- Strong understanding of municipal specifications, governmental agencies (FDOT) specifications, details, and practices
- Must be able to read plans and specifications
- Strong understanding of construction site safety practices
- Willing to travel within the state of FL
- Ability to extensively perform bending, kneeling, standing, shoveling, and lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Experience and understanding of water treatment plants construction and rehabilitation works
- Bilingual in English/Spanish
