Job Summary
Conduct construction phase testing and inspection of foundations, earthwork, soil compaction, concrete, and reinforcing steel. Utilize Nuclear Density Gauge for soil testing and Slump Cones for concrete. Transport sample materials for laboratory analysis and prepare field data and technical reports. Communicate inspection findings and testing results with Project Managers and Subcontractors. Travel to various construction sites to perform inspections. Requires 1+ years of experience in construction inspection, field work, or related hands-on roles; willingness to work outdoors in varying field conditions and perform physically active work. Military experience with a focus on field operations, construction, or engineering is highly valued.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in construction inspection, field work, or related hands-on construction roles
- Experience working in a construction, contracting, or trade environment (e.g., installation work such as doors, windows, framing, or similar field-based roles)
- Ability and willingness to work outdoors in varying field conditions and perform physically active work
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures and document field activities
Desired Qualifications
- Military experience with a focus on field operations, construction, engineering, or related disciplines
- 1+ year of experience in Construction Inspection
- Experience performing geotechnical and/or environmental field investigations
- Nuclear Density Gauge Operator Certification
- ACI Certification
- ICC Certification (a plus)
