Construction Inspector (Roads & Bridges) - Transportation

Job Summary
Conduct and document observations of construction progress for civil infrastructure projects including roadways, highways, bridges, and overpasses. Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications to identify discrepancies, while providing guidance to less-experienced field staff as needed. Collaborate with other field representatives or Project Managers to solve complex technical challenges. Perform other duties as needed, including interpreting construction schedules. This role requires a commitment to Safework's employee-owned culture and involves working independently and as part of a team to deliver innovative, sustainable, and dependable solutions for clients.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent, Technical school or Associate degree
- Minimum 3 years experience inspecting civil infrastructure projects for roads, highways, bridges, overpasses with Caltrans/CADOT experience
- Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
- Proven problem-solving and documentation abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Successfully passing drug-screening procedures prior to being hired
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
