Construction Inspector/Observer

Job Summary
Inspect all aspects of substation construction, including ground grids, control wiring, steel, and electrical equipment installations, to ensure compliance with project documents and specifications. Monitor installations for accuracy, prepare daily inspection reports with photographs, and review discrepancies with appropriate parties. Observe basic safety measures and validate quantities, unitized work tasks, and contractor billable metrics such as labor classifications and equipment hours. Travel to assigned locations in Kansas and New Mexico for this 8-month contract. Requires 5-7 years of practical experience working around energized, high-voltage power lines and equipment.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 - 7 years' practical construction experience working around energized, high-voltage power lines and equipment in electrical substations
- Travel is required to assigned location: KS and NM
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the Electrical Utility Industry a plus
- Journeyman substation
