Construction Inspector (North Charleston, SC)

Conduct daily inspections of construction activities to verify compliance with contract documents, specifications, codes, and quality requirements for the marine construction project recapitalizing Pier Mike at USCG Base. Review and interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications, and other technical documents while monitoring contractor workmanship and construction progress across multiple trades and disciplines. Identify construction deficiencies, quality issues, unforeseen conditions, and non-compliant work, then document findings and track them through completion and corrective action. Prepare clear and accurate reports summarizing inspection observations and project conditions, utilizing Microsoft Word, PDF tools, digital photography, and construction management software. Communicate inspection findings, concerns, and recommendations clearly and professionally to contractors, project managers, and other stakeholders. Maintain accurate inspection records, project documentation, and photographs throughout the process.
