Job Summary
Senior Construction Inspector Manager leads a team of construction inspectors and contract administrators, overseeing project construction from design-to-construction phase, coordinating with design teams, managing staff assignments and scheduling, ensuring payment certifications, identifying and negotiating change orders, mentoring staff, and enforcing policies. Responsibilities include supervising inspection teams, collaborating with engineering project managers and clients, and overseeing diverse projects such as rehabilitation and replacement of municipal roads, underground utilities, parks and recreation facilities, and private land development. Requires strong leadership, proactive communication, and proficiency with inspection software and Microsoft Office.
Required Qualifications
- Two-year technical or associate’s degree in construction technology or construction management (preferred)
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
- OSHA Certifications 10/30 (preferred)
- NICET Certifications I, II, III (preferred)
- ACI - Field Technician Certification (preferred)
- New Jersey Society of Asphalt Technicians - Field Testing (preferred)
- NJDOT - Traffic Control Coordinator (preferred)
- Work Zone Safety (preferred)
- Confined Space Training (preferred)
